Jacobs Funeral Homes Obituaries

JOHN 'JB' BERKELEY JACOBS SR

Holy Family Church, with Msgr. William Connell officiating, for John ?JB? Berkeley Jacobs Sr. 82, who passed away early Tuesday morning at his home in Poland. John was born Jan. 31, 1936, in Johnsonburg, Pa., a son of the late, Robert and Mary (Kirkpatrick) Jacobs. He was a 1953 graduate of Johnsonburg High School and attended Youngstown College. John enjoyed a successful career as a manufacturing sales representative for the commercial HVAC industry. John was a popular and loyal friend. He loved music, hunting and fast cars. He was also an avid golfer and a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. Although he never saw the Browns win a Super Bowl, he witnessed a fair amount of success together with his wife, Mary Jane, as they helped their five children develop into responsible adults. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. His children and grandchildren were recipients of countless hours of love and attention. His wife, children and grandchildren will miss him so much. His natural charm and endless wit will remain with them forever. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Mary Jane Mosebarger, whom he married July 19, 1958; his children, Dr. Mike (Dr. Cathy Schloeder) Jacobs of Fortine, Mont., Dan (Amy) Jacobs of Whitefish, Mont., Lori (Tony) Ricchiuti of Boardman, Kathy (Jack) Campbell and John (Sherrie) Jacobs Jr. both of Canfield; and six grandchildren, Jay, Chelsey, Michelle, Michael, Jonathan, and Troy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Jacobs; three sisters, Delores Bressler, Margaret Love, and Nancy Granlund; and a granddaughter, Carley Zoldan. Family and friends may call Saturday from 9:15 to 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church. Material tributes may take the form of donations to a charity of the donor?s choice. Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel... (Youngstown Vindicator)
